In excellent and original condition, this pair of cast sterling silver candlesticks was created in a design both typical and popular in the George II era in the late 18th century. The shell and leaf pattern mounts are design motifs of the rococo decorative style that came to England from France in the 1720s and has stayed popular with the public and the silversmiths until the present day!

These fine silver candlesticks are fitted with their original removable nozzles or wax drips for ease of cleaning.

Note that these silver candlesticks are not filled; the weight is entirely sterling silver.
