A George III silk appliqué picture, circa 1800

Created from cut fragments of coloured woven silk and glazed cotton applied to a silk ground, traces of a hand drawn distant landscape faintly visible to the ground, a green and red parrot perched on the branch of an acorn-laden oak tree above grassy hillocks scattered with flora, possibly the original or a contemporary frame, re-framed and bearing a John Jones label.
