Liberty Tudric pewter, introduced in 1902 by Liberty & Co., exemplifies the fusion of Art Nouveau and Celtic Revival styles. Primarily designed by Archibald Knox, these pieces showcased flowing lines and interlaced motifs, reflecting his Manx heritage. Manufactured by W\.H. Haseler in Birmingham, Tudric pewter was distinguished by its higher silver content, offering an affordable yet refined alternative to silverware.
The range included functional and decorative items like clocks, vases, and bowls, often adorned with enamel or semiprecious stones. Though Liberty's policy of anonymity initially obscured Knox's contributions, his designs are now celebrated for their innovation and timeless appeal.
