Edwardian novelty ashtray
Edwardian novelty ashtray
6108
Smoking tobacco has rightly gone out of fashion but this Edwardian novelty ashtray is hard to resist.
This rare German porcelain smoking ashtray is by Schafer & Vater. These unusual objects were used as ashtrays with the smoke of the cigarette escaping through the ear holes. This one sees an old ugly chap with a monocle and a title that reads 'For He's a jolly good fellow.
Place a cigarette, cigar, or whatever your favourite substance might be in his mouth and the smoke comes out of his ears. Fuming!
